Healthy You Tip!
Cut Fat and Sugar in Cookies
You look forward all year to those buttery, sugary delicious holiday cookies. Trouble is – they go straight to your waistline. But you can trim some fat and sugar without sacrificing taste. “The trick is making only small changes to your recipe,” says registered dietitian Kim Campbell. For example, substitute half the white sugar in a recipe with Splenda and switch to an egg substitute like Eggbeaters which reduces fat, calories and cholesterol.
